At egm, we’ve seen again and again that practical support can open the door to something deeper.

A safe place to sleep matters. A meal matters. Reliable transportation matters too.

That’s why we’re grateful to share a new way for people to donate vehicles to support egm’s mission. It’s a simple way to turn a car, truck, van, motorcycle, RV, or boat you no longer need into meaningful support for the work of alleviating poverty in Snohomish County.

This kind of giving fits naturally with how we see the work.

At egm, we’re committed to creating spaces where people can belong, heal, and move toward safety, support, stability, and transformation through relationship. We know change rarely happens all at once. It happens over time, through steady care, honest support, and a community that keeps showing up.

Vehicle donations are one more way people can participate in that steady work.

In some cases, donated vehicles help provide financial support for the mission. In other cases, vehicles given to egm have directly served staff and clients. That matters more than people may realize. Transportation can affect whether someone gets to work, keeps a school schedule, makes appointments, or simply has one less barrier standing in the way of stability.

Most recently, a family donated a minivan that became a real blessing to a mom staying in our family shelter. She had lost her vehicle in a domestic violence situation. She’s working, going to school, and caring for several kids. Having that van gave her family something more than convenience. It created stability in a season when stability was hard to come by.

Stories like that remind us that generosity is never just about an item exchanged. It’s about what becomes possible when people choose to walk with one another.

That’s how egm talks about giving, too. We don’t see generosity as rescue or pressure. We see it as partnership. A gift helps create the conditions for care, consistency, and dignity. It helps us keep showing up, thoughtfully and faithfully, for the people and families we serve.

If you have a vehicle you no longer need, this is now a practical and meaningful way to support egm. The process is designed to be straightforward, and it can become part of the shared work of helping our neighbors experience safety, support, and hope.
