Chloe’s Christmas to Remember

Chloe* knows what it’s like to be homeless. She knows what it feels like to be looked down on simply because life circumstances stole everything from you.

You see, a few days after Chloe gave birth to her little girl, her C-section ruptured. Her husband took time off of work to care for her. When his sick leave and vacation time ran out, he was given an ultimatum:

“You can either quit, or be fired.”

Bills piled up as Jerry* kept looking for work, but soon they couldn’t pay rent.

“We were trying to keep up with the apartment payments, but we just couldn’t,” Chloe said. “It was scary.”

In a matter of months, Chloe went from a hospital bed to being homeless.

Chloe and her family found out about Everett Gospel Mission and thanks to friends like you, they got the help they needed to get back on their feet. It didn’t take long.

In less than two months at the Mission, things started turning around. Now Jerry has a job, Chloe is healthy, and Alice* is thriving. All they needed was a little time to rebuild their lives. They’ve found a new apartment and plan to move in as soon as their rental application is approved.

For them, this Christmas will be especially meaningful. “It will be the first time my child will have a Christmas tree,” Chloe says.

Chloe is also pregnant, and expecting almost any time! Their growing family is so thankful for the support friends like you have given them.

This Christmas let’s rejoice in what God has done in their lives — and that He is using people like you to make such a difference!
