I’m going to be straight with you. The truth is, I’ve made mistakes.

I bet that doesn’t come as much of a surprise, because I’m sure you’ve made mistakes, too. We all have.

None of us gets through this beautiful and complicated life unscathed. No matter who we are or where we’ve come from, we all face a day when we need a second chance.

That’s one of the most amazing things about Jesus’ message of hope at Easter. He offers us a second chance.

Here at Everett Gospel Mission, we understand the importance of that message, and we strive to share it with our poor, hungry and homeless neighbors by offering them food, shelter, job-training skills, counseling and Christ-centered support.

You see, light always shines brightest when it’s dark. Our neighbors who are sleeping on the street and clawing through garbage cans for food are living in darkness. They need the light of Jesus. They need a second chance.

That’s what Easter is all about.
