You’ve probably met someone who was the first in their family to go to college. But have you met anyone who was the first in their family to complete middle school or get a living wage job?

I have. The joy on their faces in hard to put into words.

Becoming so familiar with poverty, they could not see a path out. They didn’t believe escape was possible.

Until someone like you gave them HOPE.

Food, shelter, a hot shower, clean clothes and a warm coat are each a good first step. A life-saving step!

But there’s even more we can do . . . we can help give them hope that their lives can be different and help them believe that the pattern can be broken.

We need to do more than help them get through one more day.

  • We need to engage with them.
  • We need to see their hearts.
  • We need to hear their stories.

When we help people overcome poverty, we change their whole family’s future. That means the good you do today will go on – for generations!

That’s the power of hope. That’s the power you have.
