What a difference a turkey dinner makes!

I’m so impressed and delighted by the success of our Feed Hope Here Kitchen Program. Every day, our students take a mish mash of donated food and turn it into something truly delicious. It’s my honor to watch people transform from shame and despair to confident, creative, culinary professionals!

So this Thanksgiving, I don’t want them to have to barely scrape by with whatever is left in the cupboards like they usually do.

I want them to have every ingredient they need to make an absolutely fabulous turkey dinner with all the trimmings that they can be proud of.

This is the one holiday each year that is truly “all about the food.”

When word gets out that Everett Gospel Mission is offering a wonderful meal Thanksgiving meal for free, a lot of people we might not otherwise have a chance to reach are going to be making tracks for our doors.

Some will recognize our Feed Hope Here Kitchen staff and recognize their transformation. And that will encourage them to stay with us and get the help they need to change their lives in the same way.

So you may be hearing the Mission talk a lot about providing Thanksgiving meals these days. I hope you will watch your mailbox for out Thanksgiving newsletter and other opportunities to help.

Please pray for every shelf in the pantry and freezer to fill up with turkeys and all the other ingredients needed for a successful holiday event. Together we will make the most of this special opportunity to show people that God loves them, and give them hope for the future.
