Cold Weather Shelter Assistance

New Volunteer Opportunity!

What: Assist with room set-up/tear-down and client intake for additional Cold Weather Shelter beds.

Where: EGM 2020 Cold Weather Shelter

When: Opportunities Vary: 

  • When Cold Weather Shelters are open (varies by temperature, determined by the county).
  • Cold Weather Shelters typically open when overnight temperatures are expected to be 34 degrees F or lower.
  • The cold weather season begins in November and lasts through March of the following year.

Volunteers are invited: 

  • Tuesdays:
    • 6pm-8pm Setup
  • Thursdays:
    • 6pm-8pm Setup
    • 8pm-10pm Client Intake (poverty 101 required)
  • Saturdays
    • 6pm-8pm Setup
    • 8pm-10pm Client intake (poverty 101 required)
  • Sundays:
    • 6am-8am Cleanup/Breakdown
    • 6pm-8pm Setup
    • 8pm-10pm Client Intake (poverty 101 required)
