At Everett Gospel Mission, every meal served, every bed prepared, and every smile shared is made possible because people like you give your time and your heart. Volunteers are the hands and feet of our work—bringing dignity, hope, and compassion to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness and poverty in Snohomish County.
When you volunteer, you’re doing more than filling a shift—you’re helping to change lives. Whether you’re serving meals, sorting donations, offering a listening ear, or supporting special events, you’re reminding our neighbors in need that they’re not forgotten.
Serving your community may be easier than you think. Many employers offer paid time off for volunteering or other volunteer incentives.

Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Before starting, all volunteers must complete our Poverty 101 training and pass a Washington State background check.
The background check is a WA state law egm complies with for everyone’s safety. Potential volunteers are in ineligible according to WAC 388-113-0020.
