YES! It is intended for everyone interested in doing relational poverty alleviation, improving their corresponding skills and/or training others in their organizations. Professionals and novices all benefit from this innovative workshop.
DO I HAVE TO BE A PERSON OF FAITH?
NO! Our goal was to develop workshops that are open and welcoming to persons of faith and those without faith. Workshops where attendees can discuss their faith and how it impacts their actions comfortably. WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT EGM’S TRAINING?
EGM’s poverty training targets both our heads and our hearts! Using years of experience and learning walking alongside those experiencing material poverty, the presenters facilitate a journey that focuses on relational poverty alleviation.
- You will be challenged to consider both the barriers you face as well as the barriers faced by those experiencing poverty along this journey.
- You will be encouraged to pursue effective relational poverty alleviation strategies that remove personal and systemic barriers to change.
EGM trainings intentionally provide a space where networking and collaboration between unlikely partners such as faith communities, non-profits, municipalities, businesses, and neighborhoods is fostered and encouraged.
