Every design decision was made to give our guests a dignified, safe space to rest, recharge, and transform. Accessible steps with a handrail replace a traditional ladder. Quiet, sustainable wood creates a warmer environment with improved privacy. Each guest also has a personal cubby with an electrical outlet and a secure locker conveniently within reach.
Steps with a handrail replace a traditional ladder — so every guest reaches their space safely and with dignity.
Real wood creates a warmer environment with improved privacy — materials that communicate worth.

Most importantly, these features were designed with feedback from our guests — creating a safer, more comfortable, and more dignified experience.

The Smith Campus Expansion brings 172 StepUp beds into a trauma-informed, accessible space — a facility shaped by listening to the guests we serve, and designed to give every person room to rest, recharge, and transform.
