egm was recently featured in the Snohomish County Tribune, which covered the Partnership to End Homelessness Community Showcase held May 19 at egm.
The event brought together 18 agencies, nonprofit leaders, and elected officials to walk the community through how Snohomish County’s homelessness response system fits together as a “continuum of care.” John Hull, egm’s CEO, spoke to the heart of that idea: a person doesn’t move from homelessness to permanent housing without a lot of hands supporting them along the way.
Chivo Hawkins, egm’s Director of Advancement, shared that the showcase grew out of a simple question from the Downtown Everett Association about how egm fits into the county’s broader solution — and quickly expanded into a countywide event aimed at closing what he described as a significant gap in public understanding.
The article also included remarks from County Executive Dave Somers and Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin, along with perspectives from partner organizations like the Housing Authority of Snohomish County and Housing Hope, all reinforcing the same message: ending homelessness takes a coordinated, community-wide effort.
