INSIDE EVERETT’S PALISADES VILLAGE

When someone is working to transform their life, the work often begins with one simple thing: a safe place to stay.
Together we’re creating spaces where people can find stability, encounter Christ’s love and begin again.

Opened in July 2021 in partnership with the City of Everett, and named by guests as Palisades Village, this community provides a safe place for individuals who have experienced long-term homelessness.

Because large shared sleeping spaces can be especially difficult for traumatized people, guests stay in small Pallet Shelters – built by a local company here in Everett – that provide something many haven’t had in a long time: a safe space and a sense of stability.

Guests can come indoors and begin catching their breath after months, or even years, of living on the street.

The Palisades prioritizes getting people safely indoors as the first step, creating the stability needed to begin addressing the challenges they’re facing and move toward lasting change.

The Palisades also creates a place where community can grow. Residents gather for house meetings, share meals and enjoy activities like art classes, movie nights and games. In the summer, many even help tend the community garden, growing vegetables later used in the Mission’s kitchen.

Because of caring partners like you, Palisades Village offers more than shelter. It offers people the chance to begin moving forward.

Step by step, lives are transforming.
