Boeing Employees Help Make Transformation Possible at EGM

For generations, Boeing employees have invested in the well-being of their neighbors throughout Puget Sound. Everett Gospel Mission has experienced the impact of that generosity firsthand.

The Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound—often called ECF—has been one of EGM’s most meaningful community partners. Through voluntary payroll contributions, Boeing employees pool their generosity to support nonprofits serving people and families across our region.

For EGM, that support has been significant. ECF grants help provide safe shelter, nourishing meals, and the consistent, relationship-centered support that helps people move beyond crisis and toward lasting stability. When this funding was temporarily paused several years ago, it created a six-figure change in support for EGM—underscoring just how important Boeing employees are to our mission.

ECF is more than a funding source. It demonstrates what can happen when thousands of people each contribute something and direct it toward the needs of their community. Together, individual acts of generosity become a powerful source of hope and transformation.

We are also grateful for the Boeing employees who give directly, volunteer, serve in leadership roles, and introduce others to our work. Recently, EGM welcomed a group of Boeing leaders to see this work firsthand and learn how relationships, dignity, and consistent care help people build a different future. Read about their visit to Everett Gospel Mission.

Boeing Employees Can Multiply Their Gifts

Everett Gospel Mission is an eligible organization in Boeing’s gift-matching program. That means eligible Boeing employees can request a company match for their charitable gifts to EGM, multiplying the impact of their generosity.

Through BoeingCares, powered by YourCause, Boeing employees can:

  • Submit matching requests for gifts to Everett Gospel Mission.
  • Make one-time or recurring donations.
  • Record volunteer hours with EGM.
  • Request a $100 volunteer grant after completing at least 10 hours with EGM.
  • Create recurring volunteer activities so future service is easier to record.

How to Get Access to BoeingCares

Getting started is simple:

  1. Email BoeingCares@boeing.com and ask to have your BoeingCares account activated.
  2. Watch for a confirmation email from BoeingCares.
  3. Visit the Boeing YourCause portal.
  4. Enter your BEMSID.
  5. Select the password-reset option during your initial login.
  6. Follow the password-reset link sent to the email address associated with your profile.

Once you are signed in, select Everett Gospel Mission to make a gift, request a gift match, or record your volunteer service.

How to Request a Gift Match

Boeing employees can use BoeingCares to request a company match for eligible gifts to Everett Gospel Mission:

  1. Sign in at boeing.yourcause.com.
  2. Open the gift-matching or donation section.
  3. Search for and select Everett Gospel Mission.
  4. Follow the prompts to make a gift or request a match for a gift you have already made.
  5. If you gave outside the portal, upload any requested gift confirmation or receipt.

Boeing also allows employees to give through payroll deduction and establish recurring gifts. Giving directly through BoeingCares may simplify the process by placing the gift and associated match in the same system.

Boeing currently describes its program as providing a dollar-for-dollar match for eligible charitable donations. Program limits and requirements are determined by Boeing and may change, so employees should consult the current Boeing Gift Match Program Guidelines within BoeingCares when submitting a request.

Volunteer With EGM—and Make Those Hours Go Further

Boeing employees who volunteer with Everett Gospel Mission can also record their service through BoeingCares. After completing at least 10 hours with EGM, eligible employees may request a $100 volunteer grant to benefit the Mission.

How to Request a Volunteer Grant

  1. Sign in at boeing.yourcause.com.
  2. Select Volunteer.
  3. Choose Log Hours.
  4. Search for and select Everett Gospel Mission.
  5. Enter your volunteer activity and hours.
  6. After accumulating at least 10 hours with EGM, request the $100 volunteer grant.
  7. Before submitting, check the box requesting the volunteer match.

That final step matters: simply recording your hours may not automatically generate a grant. Selecting the volunteer-match option initiates the request.

If you record your EGM volunteer service through POINT, you can use your POINT history to confirm the dates and hours you report to Boeing.

Thank You, Boeing Employees

Whether you contribute through ECF, give directly, request a company match, volunteer your time, or invite a colleague to participate, you are helping our community respond to homelessness with compassion, dignity, and hope.

A meal or a night of shelter can meet an immediate need. Lasting change grows through consistent care, supportive relationships, and a community willing to walk alongside its neighbors.

Boeing employees continue to be an important part of that community. Thank you for helping make transformation possible.
