What if one morning could change the way you see your neighbors — and your community?
Poverty 101 is an interactive experience that helps you better understand the realities of homelessness and poverty while exploring practical, Christ-forward ways to walk alongside neighbors experiencing poverty or homelessness. Through hands-on activities, discussion and personal reflection, you’ll gain new insights into the challenges many of our neighbors face every day.
One participant shared, “I think it was the awareness, a better awareness of others’ experiences and how their journey has changed them and that it’s not what’s wrong, but what’s happened.”
Another said, “It made me more compassionate and more empathetic.”
